All on four technique is primarily centered on a patients wish for a simple treatment procedure and optimal, quick results.

Progress in dental technologies has led to new and superior areas of clinical practices that were never tried before. All on 4 dental implants in Houston is one such technique that is helping hundreds of people to get a new set of shiny white teeth everyday. People who may have lost one or more teeth due to an injury or periodontal disease, and those who are about to lose some can go for this treatment to get immediate replacement teeth.

The All on four technique is primarily centered around the idea for a patient wishing for a simple treatment procedure and optimal, quick results. People around the world are getting smile makeovers and the ability to chew their favorite foods, thanks to this advanced and uncomplicated procedure for dental implants.

What exactly is a dental implant?

A Dental implant is a little fixture of metal, usually titanium and it serves as a substitute for the root of a lost natural tooth. Thanks to the biocompatible characteristics of titanium, once these implants are fixed on the upper or lower jaw, they get attached to the jawbone and then become strong supports for the replacement teeth.

When you get replacement teeth supported by these strong implants, you can eat and drink easily and smile with renewed confidence.

The fear of dentures coming off and the general nuisance in their maintenance were major issues for people with missing teeth. But with the all on four in Houston, it’s simple for them to get permanently fixed dental implants that look and function just like natural teeth.

All on Four Houston - No Dentures

The superiority of all on 4 procedure for implants

With the all-on-4 dental implant procedure, all teeth are supported by just 4 titanium implants. It is a new technique in which the back implants are angled at 45 degrees to offer the needed support for complete rehabilitation. Angular placement of implants assists in overcoming bone deficiencies that are typically seen in the back of the jaw. It also helps to do away with the additional task of bone grafting.

As opposed to conventional techniques that require fixing of 5-6 implants, ‘all on 4 dental implants’ requires less and so it is simpler to get optimal results. The implants are capped with milky white crowns to create the look and feel of normal teeth in your mouth. You can easily use and clean your new implants very similar your natural teeth.

Skilled dentists understand the needs of their individual patients and customize the technique to give them the finest results. If a patient requires bone grafting, it is done simultaneously with the fixing of implants or before placing them in a staged manner.

Technique for All on four dental implants in Houston is a new dental philosophy that is already supported by optimum results. The focus of course is always on ensuring predictable results with the finest mix of aesthetics and functions for people with missing teeth problems.

If you’ve been waiting for that perfect smile makeover and do not like to wait for months before you get your replacement teeth, the all on four Houston technique would be the right choice for dental implants.

This is a real experience at the Brueggen Dental Implant Center, commonly known as the “Houston Dental Implants” – we did a lower All-on-4 dental implants case for a 60 yr old gentleman from Colorado.

A brief description of the condition of the patient provided by Houston Dental Implants:

He was in town on personal business and learned about Houston Dental Implants from a T.V. ad. His medical history was non-contributory. Dentally, he was wearing an upper and lower denture. There was a mobile and failing unilateral subperiosteal implant on the lower left, and one had previously been removed on the lower right. Subperiosteal implants are placed beneath the “gums” and rest on, but not in, the bone.

Subperiosteal implants are used when there is inadequate bone volume to place a dental implant into the bone, and the treating doctor is not aware or trained in other options. They experience a very high failure rate. I have

removed a number of subperiosteal implants but have never placed one.

These implants were placed in Colorado about 15 years ago when the upper and lower dentures were made. It was the doctor’s hope to attach the lower denture to the subperiosteal implants, but unfortunately, that was never possible.

This patient was displeased with the fit of his false teeth. Even with thick denture adhesives, he was unable to eat, and the lower was unstable even in speech. He was a very active gentleman and very frustrated with his situation because his previous dentist had told him that he did not have enough bone for dental implants.

How did Houston Dental Implants made the life easier for the 60 year old, active gentleman?

Houston Dental Implants took a cat scan (a very sophisticated x-ray designed to allow precise measurements of bone in all dimensions) and determined that he did have enough bone for dental implants if the All-on-4 dental implants (a full set of upper or lower teeth fixed to 4 dental implants) technique was used.

Consultation revealed that financially doing this on the upper and lower was not feasible, so we elected to do a new denture on the upper and the All-on-4 dental implant procedure on the lower. Our in-house lab pre-made the

upper denture, so when he arrived at Houston Dental Implants in the morning; we were able to deliver that before I began the surgery.

Using conscious oral sedation, I began the surgery at 9:30 A.M. The failing subperiostel implant was removed, 4 endosseous dental implants were placed, and the surgery was completed at 10:55 A.M.

Impressions were taken for the lab and at 4:30 P.M., the patient was ready to leave with his new upper denture and new lower non-removable teeth attached to 4 implants.

His healing and recovery should be uneventful, and I anticipate making his final set of teeth in 6 months. Houston Dental Implants was hopefully able to minimize his dental troubles forever.

This article explores the procedure behind the placement of ‘All-on-4’ dental implants as well as the benefits afforded by this breakthrough tooth replacement technique.

With All on 4 dental implants in Houston you can restore your smile and get permanent teeth in just one day; say goodbye to dentures forever! The All-on-4 technique was conceived in the early 1990s by implantologist Paulo Malo as a method of replacing either the lower or upper arch of teeth, or even both arches. All on 4 dental implants in Houston, as the treatment’s name suggests, uses just four implants to secure replacement teeth, and unlike ordinary dental implant techniques, it is best suited to those facing edentulous or complete tooth loss.

The remarkable All-on-4 protocol is capable of fully replacing teeth in just a single session, leaving patients with immediately functional replacement pearly whites that are virtually indistinguishable from natural healthy teeth! While other implant treatment plans may require bone grafting and the placement of many implants in surgeries that are spread across up to 18 months, All on 4 dental implants in Houston sees patients leaving the implant facility with fully functional teeth after just one surgery in a single day. All on 4 dental implants in Houston are considered a permanent solution to missing teeth, so you can bid a not-so fond farewell to those irritating false teeth!

The Procedure Behind All on 4 Dental Implants in Houston

Before considering All on 4 dental implants in Houston, it is necessary to have your case evaluated by an implantologist. During the initial consultation, the implantologist will assess whether you require any extractions or preparatory work to eliminate infection or gum disease. Your dental healthcare professional will also take X-rays and molds of your teeth before scheduling the All-on-4 treatment. This same-day technique involves the placement of four implants in the mouth to which a fully customized and non-removable prosthetic bridge is affixed. All on 4 dental implants in Houston almost never require the lengthy, expensive and painful bone grafting surgery beforehand and as a result, can be fitted in an unprecedented treatment time of a single day only!

The Key Benefits of All on 4 Dental Implants in Houston

All on 4 dental implants Houston comes highly recommended to patients suffering from rampant tooth loss and/or edentulism (not having any original adult teeth left) and who therefore need a permanent tooth replacement solution. The All-on-4 protocol removes the need for dentures entirely, which are notorious for causing taste impediments, discomfort, pain and even embarrassment if they slide out of place. All on 4 dental implants Houston is the most practical, natural-looking solution for those seeking a near or full set of replacement teeth. Here’s what you can look forward to with the All-on-4:

  • Vast improvement in appearance
  • Fully restored sense of taste
  • Oral comfort
  • No need for removal at nighttime or after meals for cleaning
  • Ability to eat all of your favorite foods
  • No impediment to speech
  • Boost in self-esteem
  • Beautiful smile
  • Long lasting results
  • No more messy adhesives or expensive denture products

This article takes a sweeping look at the All on 4 dental implant technique and the various benefits it affords patients over and above traditional placement protocol.

In the early 1990's, years of clinical research and computer and biomechanical simulations culminated in a new dental implant placement protocol that was to revolutionize the fields of fixed oral rehabilitation and implantology. The technique developed by the combined efforts of Nobel Biocare, one of the world's leading manufacturers of dental implant technology, and European implantologist, Dr. Paulo Malo, became referred to as the All-on-4. Since its conception, All on 4 dental implants have gone on to provide tens of thousands of edentulous (not having a single original adult tooth left) and near-edentulous patients with a comprehensive, immediate and long-term solution to all of their oral problems. This article takes a look at All on 4 dental implants in Houston and some of the benefits this technique has over traditional surgical placement protocol.

All on 4 Dental Implants in Houston: How the Technique Works

Previously, the patients that required a brand new set of teeth faced a choice between removable dentures, which go hand-in-hand with a vast array of difficult challenges, or a journey to oral rehabilitation that involved numerous consultations, surgeries, bone grafting and the placement of up to 20 dental implants! As a result, traditional dental implant protocol required as many as 18 months and sometimes more before a patient was able to smile with confidence again. This is not even to mention the exorbitant expenses associated with such a journey! All on 4 dental implants were essentially born out of a need to provide a more immediate, less expensive and far more sophisticated solution to rampant tooth loss and edentulism. And here is how the technique works:

The All on 4 dental implants technique consists of a fully customized prosthetic dental bridge, which is secured permanently in the mouth using, as the name suggests, only four implants (tiny, titanium screws). Owing to the precise placement and careful angulation of the All on 4 dental implants, skilled and qualified dentists are almost always able to avoid the need for bone grafting surgery beforehand. This applies even to patients that present with a substantial loss of bone volume in the jaw; a natural result of tooth loss gone untreated. As such, the entire procedure can quite easily be completed in a single day and since modern dental implants are fabricated to withstand immediate loading, patients are able to return home on the same day of their surgery and use their new teeth for eating, speaking and of course, for smiling!

All on 4 Dental Implants in Houston: Summing Up the Benefits

So, with All on 4 dental implants in Houston, patients are able to get a brand new set of immediately functional, perfectly aesthetic and comfortable replacement teeth that are permanently secured in the mouth using implants. The quality and durable materials that go into the manufacturing of the prosthesis and implant products ensure that All on 4 dental implants in Houston provide a comprehensive and long-term solution to tooth loss and edentulism; regardless of the underlying cause.

Brueggen Dental Implant CenterIn our previous article post on All on 4 dental implants in Houston, we took patients on a conceptual tour of what is involved in getting a brand new set of immediately functional, aesthetic and non-removable teeth in a day with this breakthrough surgical protocol. We began with the initial consultation, which is used to assess a patient’s oral problems and candidacy for All on 4 dental implants in Houston. X-ray and CAT-scan images are also taken during this consultation to aid the detailed planning of the patient’s surgery and in the fabrication of their fixed and non-removable prosthetic dental bridge. The article then went on to discuss the procedure followed on the day of the placement of the All on 4 dental implants in Houston, which ends with a patient returning home to a light meal and a good night’s rest. In this, the second and final installment on this theme, we shall take a look at what a patient can expect to experience during their recovery and what kind of post-operative care they will need to take of their new beautiful teeth!

All on 4 Dental Implants in Houston: Recovery

There is unfortunately quite a common misconception surrounding dental implants: that it is exceptionally painful to have them placed. In reality, however, nothing could be further from the truth. While there is a degree of discomfort following the placement of All on 4 dental implants in Houston, this is easily managed with prescription analgesics or pain-killers and in any case subsides after a few days. In fact, the post-operative pain associated with All on 4 dental implants in Houston is less than that of having a tooth extracted, so patients should not allow a concern for discomfort to come in the way of them seeking oral rehabilitation.

All on 4 Dental Implants in Houston: Post-Operative Care

All the instructions you are expected to follow will be fully reviewed by your dentist on the day of your surgery, before you go home. Generally, post-operative recovery is minimal with many patients actually returning to work the very next day! The guidelines for care are as follows:

• Avoid eating any hard or crunchy foods for the first few weeks,

• Avoid habits such as smoking and excessive alcohol consumption; this compromises healing and can actually lead to the failure of All on 4 dental implants in Houston,

• Follow the prescribed dosages for analgesics in the management of post-operative pain and discomfort,

• Get plenty of rest and eat a balanced diet; this will enhance your body’s ability to heal faster,

• Look after your new teeth as you would your original natural teeth; this includes twice daily brushing (for two minutes at a time), daily flossing and gargling with an anti-bacterial mouthwash.

All on 4 dental implants

After six months, the All on 4 dental implants in Houston should have completely healed, at which stage you will return to the dentist to have your permanent prosthesis placed.

A Final Note on All on 4 Dental Implants in Houston

This breakthrough procedure provides an immediate functional, aesthetic and comfortable solution to edentulism and near-edentulism. Don’t compromise your quality of life by settling for inferior tooth replacement technology. All on 4 dental implants in Houston offers a comprehensive and long-term solution!

This article explores the many benefits and advantages afforded by the All on Four dental implant technique, from immediate function to instant oral aesthetics.

All on 4 Dental Implants in Houston: An Overview

All on 4 dental implants in Houston is an innovative technique that has revolutionized the medical fields of fixed oral rehabilitation and dental implantology. The concept for a technique that could give patients new and non-removable replacement teeth in as little as a single dental appointment was born in the early 1990’s through work done by European implantologist Dr. Paulo Malo in collaboration with one of the world’s leading manufacturers of dental implants, Nobel Biocare. What was found by Dr. Malo is that through the precise positioning and angulation of only four dental implants, an entire upper or lower prosthetic dental bridge could be ‘permanently’ fixed in the mouth! The advantages of All on 4 Dental implants in Houston have awarded this technique for teeth replacement with ‘breakthrough’ status; one of the most important since the conception of dental implants!

All on 4 Dental Implants in Houston: The Advantages

Prior to the innovation of All on 4 dental implants in Houston, removable partial or full dentures, or false teeth as they are colloquially referred to, were used to restore the functionality and aesthetics of a near to completely edentulous mouth (not having any original adult teeth left). While these oral devices fulfill their function adequately, they come with a whole host of undesirable and inconvenient challenges that not only affect your self-esteem and confidence, but also your ability to lead a life free of the constant consciousness caused by having a foreign object moving about in your mouth. All on 4 dental implants in Houston far surpass all the benefits of this traditional tooth replacement technique and here’s what you can expect from this miracle treatment:

Immediate Functionality ~ Once fitted, All on 4 dental implants in Houston can immediately be used for eating and, of course, for smiling! Because there is no lengthy recovery period incurred, many patients at their own discretion frequently return to work the day after the procedure.

Fixed and Non-Removable Solution ~ The prosthetic dental bridge, which essentially looks, functions and feels like a set of healthy natural teeth, is fixed in the mouth with four dental implants per jaw. This means that:

  • The prosthetic dental bridge affixed to the All on 4 dental implants in Houston does not shift around and cannot fall out like removable dentures can,
  • It is looked after just like natural teeth and so does not require removal for cleaning after meals and at nighttime,
  • It does not rely on the gums and existing surrounding teeth for support, causing pain, inflammation and irritation of the soft tissues in the mouth. Furthermore, All on 4 dental implants in Houston promote a healthy jaw bone and so do not require refitting every few years due to bone loss.

Because of these points, there is no need for repeated expenses such as messy adhesives, anesthetic gels and refitting etc.

New Teeth in One Day ~ It is possible for the procedure to be completed in a single dental appointment! Patients presenting with bone loss in the jaw as a result of periodontal disease may not require bone grafting surgery, which requires up to a year for healing, beforehand. If this is the case, then All on 4 dental implants in Houston can be fitted in a single day!

This four-part article series takes an in-depth look at All-on-Four dental implants, what they are and the various benefits they offer over removable dentures and traditional dental implant protocols.

Welcome back to our four-part article series on All on 4 dental implants in Houston. In our previous post, we discussed the key differences between this breakthrough dental implant protocol and that archaic tooth replacement technology, removable dentures. In this article, the third installment of the series, we shall be exploring how All on 4 dental implants make it possible for specially-trained and experienced implant dentists to provide patients with a new set of non-removable teeth, almost always without the need for bone grafting surgery first. We shall then discuss the benefits of this unprecedented feat in implant surgery.

All on 4 Dental Implants in Houston and Bone Grafting Surgery

All on 4 dental implants

In our previous article post, we discussed the importance of the roots of your teeth in keeping the underlying jaw bone stimulated and alive. Just like the muscles in your body, if bone doesn’t get exercised, it atrophies and wastes away in volume. Removable dentures only replace the visible part (the crowns) of your teeth. But All on 4 dental implants in Houston replace both the roots AND the crowns. As such, they help to keep a patient’s jaw bone alive and healthy. But what All on 4 dental implants are really known for are their ability to provide comprehensive tooth replacement solutions to patients who have gone without teeth and/or with removable dentures for so long that they have lost a substantial amount of jaw bone volume.

Prior to the innovation of All on 4 dental implants in Houston, dentists would recommend bone grafting surgery to patients before implants could be considered a viable treatment option. This surgery is intended to augment and encourage the growth of new and healthy hard tissue in the jaw so that it can support replacement teeth. But there are three problems with bone grafting:

  1. It’s incredibly invasive and causes much post-operative pain and discomfort,
  2. It requires several months of healing before the jaw bone is strong enough to support dental implants,
  3. It is very expensive.

The result of all this is that patients would have to wait up to 18 months before they could get a complete set of new teeth placed. This is not even to mention the tens of thousands of dollars oral rehabilitation cost them. No wonder so many of them opted instead for removable dentures!

All on 4 Dental Implants in Houston: The Difference

All on 4 dental implants Houston

Through the precise placement and angulation of four dental implants in regions of the mouth that naturally contain a greater volume of atrophy-resistant bone tissue, trained implant dentists are able to provide enough support for a customized prosthetic dental bridge WITHOUT the need for bone grafting first. This is true in most patient cases and the result is that All on 4 dental implants in Houston can almost always provide patients with a brand new set of non-removable, immediately functional teeth in as little as a single day, with a single surgery!

This unprecedented feat in oral rehabilitation is also made possible by the fact that All on 4 dental implants in Houston, as the name suggests, only requires four dental implants per jaw in order to provide patients with a complete set of teeth. Older and more traditional surgical protocol frequently required as many as 20 dental implants for oral rehabilitation. These dental implants could not all be placed in a single surgery. And so, a patient’s journey to oral rehabilitation would have to be broken up into multiple surgeries and recovery periods. Can you see the costs mounting up here?

With only four implants required, All on 4 dental implants in Houston can be placed in a single surgery, enabling patients to go from being completely toothless to having a full and confident smile… all in a single day! This breakthrough surgical protocol also saves patients from unnecessary discomfort, exorbitant medical bills and all that time off from work and life!

This article described 9 very good reasons why dentures are considered inferior to dental implants and why dental implants, in turn, offer a much better solution and healthier solution to missing teeth.

Have you lost all or most of your natural teeth to periodontal (gum) disease? Are you currently a denture-wearer or, like your mother and father before you, facing an immediate future of denture-wearing? Well… before you endure years of this archaic technology and before you make the mistake of having them fitted, consider the following very important facts about removable dentures. There are far more sophisticated solutions to tooth loss available today and they won’t necessarily break the bank either! All on 4 dental implants in Houston could secure your quality of life, protect your youthful facial contours and prevent you from ever needing to endure the terrible challenges caused by dentures…

All on 4 dental implants Houston

1. All on 4 Dental Implants in Houston: Did You Know that wearing removable dentures accelerates the loss of bone tissue in the jaw?

With time, dentures become loose because as a direct result of this bone loss. In fact, it is entirely possible to wait for your jaw bone volume to disappear to a point where the success of any treatment – even All on 4 dental implants in Houston – is doubtful.

2. All on 4 Dental Implants in Houston: Did You Know that at the end of five years, only 40% of denture wearers are still wearing the same partial denture they were originally fitted with?

The other 60% have had to have their dentures refitted, either because their denture has broken or because jaw bone loss has compromised its fit. This is certainly not a great testimonial for the utility and value of dentures, is it? Consider the 40% to still have a functioning partial denture after five years lucky? Don’t… they too are losing valuable jaw bone volume.

3. All on 4 Dental Implants in Houston: Did You Know that of all the patients who wear a partial denture, a staggering 50% feel that they chew better without it?

As the jaw bone loses volume, it weakens, thus facilitating a lesser and lesser bite force. This really makes dentures more of a weak cosmetic solution to missing teeth rather than a functional one.

4. All on 4 Dental Implants in Houston: Did You Know that partial dentures utterly wreck your natural teeth?

All on 4 dental implants

One research study showed that 40% of the teeth used to support partial dentures had been completely ruined by fracture or decay after only eight years.

5. All on 4 Dental Implants in Houston: Did You Know that denture-wearing slowly but surely degrades your natural bite force?

A natural, healthy bite force is about 200 pounds of force per square inch. Denture wearers are typically only able bite down with 50 pounds of force. After 15 years of denture wearing, this decreases to a shocking 6 pounds of force. Considering this, it’s not hard to understand why so many elderly people suffer from malnutrition.

6. All on 4 Dental Implants in Houston: Did You Know that it is totally normal for the average denture to shift from side to side during conversation and eating?

This accounts for a significant number of patient complaints, but it’s just a problem new denture-wearers have to grow accustomed to.
